Process

An easy process that gets you closer to making a splash!

Our pools are completely functional from manufacturing right through to transportation and installation. We want your purchasing experience to be as easy as possible, which is why our pools are supplied with pre-constructed fittings.

To ensure on site works are minimal, fast and cost-effective, the following inclusions are standard in every pool.

  • Highly engineered concrete pool shell
  • High-performance ecoFINISH interior
  •  Multi-coloured LED light and Skimmer box
  • Technical designs and pre-engineered specifications
  •  Pre-plumbed and fitted filtration and safety provisions.

Every Pool comes with an internal high performance thermo polymer coating –  EcoFINISH is a powder coating that’s sprayed and heated onto the internal shell of the pool, forming a completely flexible waterproof membrane that’s both luxurious to the touch, and highly durable.

Below are our recommended installation solutions:

  • Bring Your Own Builder (BYOB)
Any qualified home builder or pool builder can manage the permitting, site preparation, and installation of a Plungie. Some locations also allow for a structural landscaper or plumber to install one.
  • Full-Service Plungie Dealer
We have a growing number of installation partners who can manage the certification, site preparation, and installation of a Plungie.
  • Owner Builder
Installing a Plungie as an owner-builder is an available option in some locations – we recommend checking the required processes and permits with your local government to see whether this is viable for you.

It’s important to know that no two projects or installations are exactly the same. Regardless of the chosen install solution, we provide comprehensive and straightforward pre-engineered specifications, how-to documentation, and videos to help you and your builder complete your project with ease.

The process to get you swimming soon!

1. Choose your Pool

This is the easy part. We can quote you for the supply and delivery of your pool, as well as the supply of your chosen equipment.

2. Building approval/certification

Permits must be submitted to the local town hall or government center. This step is generally handled by the installer. We provide the required pool documentation for these submissions in a straightforward pack for you and your installer.

3. Site preparation

Every pool must sit on a pre-engineered concrete slab footing, specific to the particular soil type of the site. Additional site works include the earth excavation and soil removal if the pool is going in-ground or semi-recessed.

4. Crane hire

At the point of delivery, a crane is required to lift the pool from our delivery truck and place it onto the concrete base slab footing.

Crane hire is one of the most variable factors in an installation, as they are always site-specific and heavily impacted by the ease of access to the property. Most reputable crane hire companies offer a free site assessment and quote.

The crane company will need the dimensions and weight of the pool and the lifting specifications. These are outlined in our lifting diagrams.

5. Plumb up

Every pool is supplied with its primary plumbing fixtures pre-fitted. This includes the skimmer box, hydro-static valve, and the provisions for general filtration and safety suction and spare lines.

The pool requires a plumb-up service to connect the general filtration equipment to these pre-fitted provisions. Depending on the chosen equipment, this can be completed by a pool service professional, builder, pool builder, or plumber.

6. Electrical

Every Pool must be earthed by a trade-qualified electrician.

The filtration equipment requires access to power.

7. Backfill

If the Pool is being installed in-ground or semi-recessed, the over-excavated area of the footing will need to be backfilled with a granular material that will allow for drainage away from the footings.

8. Finishings

One of the many advantages of our Pool is its ability to be finished to any project design or aesthetic. Once the pool has been installed, the following elements can be completed to personalize any project:

  • Coping tiles
  • Waterline tiles
  • Fencing
  • Decking
  • Paving
  • Landscaping

9. Fill + startup

Once the Pool has been finished to the desired standards and all the inspections are complete, the pool can then be filled and chemically balanced; ready for swimming.
